Tabsposé Lands!
Jeff Dlouhy - Wednesday, August 01, 2007 at 02:25 PMAfter about a month of reviews, the first stage of Tabsposé has made it to the trunk. This means that you can start to play around with it in our nightly builds. Right now the command is ‘ctrl + command + t.’ Remember, this is nowhere near a final version of the feature or the command to start it. Today I will be submitting patches to handle clicks and the page title, so hold back the “why does ____ not work” comments for now.
In addition to the source landing, I now have my first Tabsposé bugs: Bug 390406 & Bug 390401.
Let me know what you think!

August 2nd, 2007 at 12:33 pmIt’s probably a little early, you can if you want. One causes of the crash seems to be related to thumbnailing the sites, we’re trying to move this from the Cocoa level down to the Gecko level.

August 8th, 2007 at 4:58 amLooks really pretty when they go to thumbnail, but i can’t select between the tabs, just see em all, running on a brand new macbook. always loved camino, when this gets perfected, i’ll love it more. (p.s. idk if its cairo or whatever, but the text in the nightly build looks phenomenal)

That is coming very shortly. The version that is in the trunk build now only draws the previews.

February 18th, 2008 at 9:38 pmMaybe I’m a little late, but just wanted to say that you’re doing a great job. I’ve been meaning to try my hand at some scripting or hacking of the engine but I guess it’ll have to wait till I can learn more about XUL scripting.

August 2nd, 2007 at 8:09 amIt’s exciting to see it happen, although the browser does crash a second afterwards sadly. Is it worth filing a bug, or is this too early a stage?
